Description:

In this museum you will be told about the history of meteorological observations and the work of outstanding scientists who carried out research in the field of climate studies. Besides you will have an opportunity to observe nature on our meteorological ground with the help of special instruments (the weather-vane and the rain-gauge).

You will see our collection of meteorological instruments of the 19th century: the mercury barometer, the hair hygrometer, different kinds of thermometers etc. You will observe the planets in our mini-planetarium. You will see the Sikhote-Alin iron meteorite. You can even look through a real telescope.

The Museum was opened in 1998 and is situated in an early 19th century building. The Meteorological Station was opened here in 1876 by the local doctor P.M.Kozakevich
