Description:
Sernur museum was founded in 1984 and opened for visitors in 1986. The museum is located in a wooden two-storied building built in 1896, which housed the pedagogical courses, teachers' training school until 1953, Sernur high school until 1976. Until 1984 the building was on the balance of Sernur Professional Technical School No.30. The exposure creation began in the 90s of XX century. Today the museum and exhibition complex consists of seven exhibition halls, in which there are nine permanent thematic exhibitions. The zest of the Sernur museum is the ethnographic complex, which was opened in 2010 and consists of three rooms: the Living room of the ending of the XIX and the beginning of the XX centuries, the Rustic Entrance Hall and the Peasants' Farm. The Living room is equipped with a functioning oven, in which you can prepare hot meals and organize dinner parties and dinners; familiarity, master classes and tastings of local food. The most popular one is the ethnographic complex, as it allows visitors dive into the traditions and way of life of our ancestors
