Description:
    National museum of the Udmurt Republic (NMUR) was established in 1920. It occupies the building of Arsenal, a monument of industrial architecture of the beginning of the 19th century. Architect - S.Dudin. The NMUR comprises five subsidiaries. One in Izhevsk, three - in the rural area and one in Mozhga city. One of the subsidiaries is an outdoor museum - architectural and ethnographical museum "Iliinka".

    The structure of the NMUR includes 5 exposition departments, methodical department and funds. It has a library, scientific archive, a workshop for textile restoration as well.

    Annually the Museum is visited by more than 150 thousand people; the personnel organize more than 2000 excursions, 300 lectures and 150 events.

    NMUR carries out ethnographical, archaeological and geographical expeditions, scientific trips.

    Every year the museum officials participate in many scientific and practical conferences.
