The Boris Kustodiev Museum was opened on the 15th of May 2002 in astrakhan, the native town of the artist. Here he spent his childhood and took impression which were realized in a lot images on his pictures.

    At the exposition one can see the belongings of the Kustodievs and the artist. The paintings, graphics and small sculptures are exhibited in the Museum's halls. One of the halls is devoted to the creative works of P.A. Vlasov, the first Boris Kustodiev's teacher, the graduate of the St. Petersburg Art Academy. Working as teacher in Astrakhan gymnasium P.A. Vlasov organized drawing classes. Many of his learners became professional artists, such as B. Kustodiev, I. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov, E. Weshminina and others.

    Art meeting and creative parties take place in the interior museum's yard.
