Description:

Mstyora is a very old settement near Vladimir and Suzdal. Talanted artists live here. Earlier, in the 1700s, many different kinds of folk art arose here such as an icon painting, gold and silver embroidery and engraving. The Mstyora Art Museum's exhibition represents a retrospective of the works of Mstyora artists from 17 century till now. In the collection of modern art there are lacquer miniatures, white embroidery on fine natural linen, cupro-nickel gilt and silver engraved goods. Creations of Mstyora artists are well-known around the world. They were awards by Gran-Prix, the gold and silver medals on the world exhibition. The Art of Mstyora is represented in the collections of the biggest museums in Russia (Russian Museum, Tretyakov Gallery) and in the world
