Kamchatka Regional Art Museum was established on 05.01.1992. At the present day the museum leads a full and rich creative life:

    It develops diverse activities of collecting and preserving artistic values, and realizes different exhibitional and educational work to promote the art of Kamchatka, Russia and foreign countries.

    The museum's collection includes more than three and a half thousand artworks: paintings, drawings, sculptures, crafts and folk art, photography and children's art.

    This collection is truly unique and worthy of close attention. In the museum there are original artworks of many well-known not only in Russia but also abroad masters. Among them - sculptors A.Grigorev, O.Komov, V.Ryabov, graphic artists L.Soyfertis, painters O.Savostyuk, K.Britov, Smirnov-Voskresensky. All of them - representatives of various artistic movements of the XX century - from realism to avant-garde.

    Special pride of the museum is the art collection of R.Frumak paintings. The museum collection of works is complemented by the U.S., Korea artists works, and the best of Kamchatka, California and Alaska children art works.

    Kamchatka artists` works takes a significant place in the museum collection, which gives a fairly complete picture of the development of fine arts in the Kamchatka region. In the funds of KGBU "KKHM 'there are collections of works of People`s Artist of Russia F.Dyakov, Honored Artist of Russia V.Shohin, V.Trishkin, F.Tebiev; artists V.Denisov, Yu.Vi, S.Stepanov, A.Vinokurov, G. Morozov, V.Sanakoev, S.Kazaryan and others.

    The museum regularly hosts exhibitions of folk masters works, art and photo exhibitions depicting the life and traditional culture of Kamchatka aborigines, organizes master classes with participating of Kamchatka leading craftsmen
