The first Ishim museum began to work at first in October in 1923. It was opened until 1952/ new era of museum started in 1986 and it was officially organized in 19 of June by decision of Town government. It was called Ishim local museum and was situated in Bogoyavlenskiy Cathedral and and later in historical building children school in Leningradskay street number 29. The first exhibitions were "winter Nikolskay fair" and "Ishim painters". In 1996 museum removed in another historical Building former Town Hall in Lenina street. In this building many painting exhibitions were opened from famous Russian museums. In 2005 Ishim local museum were renamed as historical-painting museum. In 2016 the Museum of P.P. Ershov was joined to Ishim historical-painting museum and later in 2017 in new building art-gallery was opened. And now It is one the best organizations of culture in Ishim and it is called Ishim museum complex named after P.P Ershov. It was a great work to organize such structure but how all people over the region and country have unique opportunity to visit our museum complex with its interesting exhibitions
