The State Art Museum founded on November 19, 2010. Museum consists of three departments: the main building, the studio-gallery of artist G.S. Rayshev and the house-museum of people's artist of USSR V.A. Igoshev.
The museum's exposition is based on a chronological principle that gives opportunity to trace the development of national art over a period of several centuries.
The section of Ancient Russian Art includes icons of XV- XIX centuries. The section of paintings of XVIII-XIXth centuries is represented by works of outstanding Russian artists: F. Rokotov, O. Kiprensky, V. Tropinin, I. Aivazovsky, I. Repin, V. Vasnetsov, I. Shishkin, I. Levitan and works of artists: G. Destunis, P. Pleshanov, A. Gofman, K. Gorbatov.
The paintings section of early ÕÕth century contains works of F. Malyavin, D.Burlyuk, K. Petrov-Vodkin, B. Kustodiev, K. Korovin, L. Bakst, etc.
The temporary exhibitions are represented of artists from Ugra, Russia and foreign countries
