Lyantor Khanty etnographik museum" was opened to the publik on November 29, 1989. Its main goal is to preserve and pass on to descendants unique historical heritage of Ugra.
A series of thematic sessions for primary and secondary school children in the town is designed to promote the material and spiritual culture of aboriginals. The museum offers:
- excursions: in the halls of the museum, around the traditional housing and household outbuildings of Khanty people in the museum territory, around the town and its industrial area;
- conducting master classes and a wedding ceremony, providing information and advisory services and etc;
- Souvenir production: "Solnyshko", "Severnoe Siyanie", a traditional national doll.
Nowadays the museum is a visitor attractions in Lyantor where you can learn not only about its historical roots and local traditions, but also feel the standard of culture in the town
