The collections of rocks, ores, minerals and thin gathered by scientific workers in the course of expeditions are kept in the Museum of VIMS. At the present time the exposition related to ores and minerals of the main geology-industrial deposit types and to new untraditional deposit types of uranium, chromium, titanium, iron, berillium, fluorite, boron, mica, bauxites is being prepared.
