Gallery "Nagornaya" began its work in 1978. This is the first public gallery in Moscow. Initially the gallery displays mainly academic painting (cotsrealizm, critical realism, "severe style", "left" MOSH), but over the years the focus has shifted to modern digital technology, multimedia, installations, photography. The strategy of the gallery suggests preservation of traditions of classical school of realism in conjunction with the latest trends, the representation of which in the context of modern culture offers visitors the diversity, variety and contrast creative trends in contemporary art. Over 36 years of Gallery acquired fame and reputation as a stable, thanks to creative activity, a major exhibition projects and musical-literary programs. Today it is one of the leading public galleries in Moscow, which holds a leading position in the contemporary art space.
