The museum of the history of Malay Purgawas opened in1998. This museum is situated in the building in the district library. The things and documentsconnected with the history, traditions and customs of people, living in the territoty of the district are gathed in the museum. The materials about the perticipant of the Second Patriotic War are gathed there too. The articles about the development of agriculture of the district, since its bormation it gathed in the museum. The documents from the private archives of the outstanding people of Malay Purga district are presented at the expositions of the museum among them are the famouse military liagers, farmers, teachers, cultural wokers, doctors
