Description:

We have carefully restored a 19th century photo pavilion including the salon and the photographer’s workshop. You will embark on a fascinating journey from the past of Photography to its present. We will tell you about the peculiarities of the photography business in Russia. You will learn a lot of interesting facts about the life of photographers in old Simbirsk, you will see old photos and objects connected with the business. We will also show you works of modern photographers from Ulyanovsk. You will have a wonderful opportunity to have your picture taken against a picturesque background in a 19th century costume.

The Museum was opened in 2004 and is situated on the territory of A.Sakharov’s mansion
