Description:

The Zvenigorod museum is situated on the territory of the Savvino-Storotschevski monastery. The Latter was founded at the end of the 14-th century and became a royal residence of the second Czar of Romanov Dynasty Alexej Michailovich Romanov (Perter`s the First Father).

The Nativity Cathedral of Holy Lady (1405) is considered to be a masterpiece of the architecture, the glory of the church and an ever-living witness to the skill and devotion of the medieval craftsmen.

The Czarina Chambers were built the end of the 17-th century. There are three exhibitions in them where you could get acquainted with the life of noble women, with a collection of ancient books, icons, archeology and armaments. All these exhibits tell us about the history of the town, both its foundation and prosperity.

In the middle part of the Czarina Chambers you may visit different interim exhibitions
