The AII-Russian Exhibition Center (VVC) is a successor of the best traditions of the Soviet exhibitions: VSKhV -VDNKh (AII-Union Agricultural Exhibition -USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements). VSKhV was opened on the 1st of August of 1939 and reflected power and richness of the agricultural

    sector of the Soviet Republics, regions and districts. In 1956 on the territory of VSKh V there was inaugurated the AII-Union Industrial Exhibition. Later in 1958 three exhibitions -Agricultural, Industrial and General Engineering Exhibitions -merged into one thus creating the USSR Exhibition of Economic Achievements. The Exhibition has become a center of development and demonstration of technologies, modernization of production, reflection of ideological and cultural life of the country. In due course its territory has been developed into one of the best park and recreation zones in Moscow. On the 23rd of June of 1992 in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation VDNKh was transformed into the State Joint Stock Company "AII-Russian Exhibition Center (GAO VVC).

    Today GAO VVC is the major exhibition center of Moscow and Russia. About 300 exhibition and fair events are held there annually, over 40 of them being international ones. The newly approved Conception of the VVC Development envisages increase in economic efficiency of its operation, enhancing its attractiveness for specialists, exhibitors and partners, dynamic development of its own exhibition activities as well as innovative, trade and leisure activities.
