Description:

The Local Lore Museum of the city of Velikie Luki is situated in Matrosov square. The building of the Museum was constructed in 1971.

At present there are over 30 thousand items in the funds of the Museum. There can be found archaeology, numismatics, ethnography, weapon collections of the middle ages , the age of Peter I and the great Patriotic war. A significant part of the exposition is devoted to the feats of arms of the city's residents.
