Description:

The Krasnoturinsk museum of regional ethnography was founded in 1894. Now it includes such museums as Phedorovsky geological museum, The memorial museum of A.S. Popov, The department of history, The opened keeping of the funds, The exhibition halls.

The funds of museum contain interesting materials about mining and metallurgical ways of life in the Urals, artistic collections, private funds of the inventor of radio of A.S.Popov, the scientist and academic E.S. Pherdorov then materials about the other of Russian geology and the first elected presedent of Russian Academy of Science A.P. Karpinsky. In museum's expositions there are materials not only about 300 years old history of metallurgy of iron and copper are about development of Bogorodsky Aluminium plant and also materials about gold and platinum fields
