Description:

Anapsky archaeological museum has been created in 1977.

"The antique city of Gorgippija" is a unique heritage of the Greek civilization, which have become by the base of modern European culture. Located in the historical centre of the city-resort of Anapa, the monument became a place of pilgrimage of numerous visitors of a resort, scientists, archeologists, fans of an antiquity. Annually a museum visit more than 150 thousand Russians and foreign visitors.

The archaeological memorial estate "Gorgippija" includes 1,6 hectares of reserved territory from which 0,7 hectares are investigated and are exhibited: inhabited quarters, roads, wells, drains, winery, defensive works. Exhibitions of architectural details, monuments of a gravestone sculpture, sarcophagus. Finds are exhibited at two ancient buildings
