    Arseniev State Museum of Primorskiy Region is the oldest museum of Russian Far East and East Siberia. The building of the Museum is situated in downtown Vladivostok-city and protected by government as historical architectural monument of XIX century. It was built in 1904 on order famous negotiant V.P. Babintsev who was business manager of "Churin & Co.".

    Arseniev State Museum of Primorskiy region was founded in 1884 and officially opened in 1890 as Amurskiy Region Studies Society Museum. The origins of ethnographical and archaeological collections of the Museum was started by known scientists of F. Busse, V. Margaritov, L. Shternberg, M. Yankovskiy, V. Arseniev at the close of XIX century.
