Description:

It is the museum of important Russian democrat, publicist, journalist, philosopher, poet. He was born in 1836 in Nizhny Novgorod and spent here 17 of 25 years of his short and prominent life. The museum consists from two buildings: memorial house, where Dobrolubov live during 14 years and so-called "profitable house", where the literary museum is situated nowadays. It is devoted to Dobrolubov activity as a co-laborater of the famous "Contemporary" magazine in the 2-nd part of XIX c.
