In 1979 a new exposition was opened at the Alexander Pushkin Museum in Torzhok, where one could follow Pushkin's journeys from Moscow to St. Petersburg. In the museum the exposition of the central hall is devoted to Pushkin's stay in Torzhok with his friends and ocquaintances from the town of Torzhok and Novotorzhsky district. It opens with the material about Nicolai Alexandrovich Lvov, a remarkable architect. The next section of this shall is devoted to the Pozharsky hotel, where one can see the patterns of old art gold embroidery and a portrait of D. V. Dostoevskaya. In the exposition one can also replace in detail the poet's contacts with the Olenins. On display there are some portraits of the famous poets, composers, actors who were regular visitors of the Olenins' salon in Petersburg.
