This is the oldest Boys' Classical Secondary School in the Volga region. We managed to create a true-to-life picture of a classical school of the 19th century. We have restored the interior of the classrooms, the ceremonial hall, the Physics laboratory, and the cloakroom. Here you can sit at the pupils' desks, look through old textbooks used in classical schools, see a unique sundial of the 1840s produced by the Borgard Trading House, boil the water with a single touch of your hand with the help of a special appliance - Franklin's boiler.
The interior of the museum, school equipment and old writing materials, documents and photos will help you to feel the atmosphere of a classical educational establishment and to feel like a real 19th -century student.
The Museum was opened in 1990. It is situated in the building of the former Simbirsk Boys' Classical Secondary School, built in 1790 and designed by I.Toskani.
Among the students of the school were I.Yakovlev, I.Bogdanov, S.Baturlin, D.Minayev, D.Sadovnikov, V.Filatov, V.Ulyanov (Lenin) and others
