Description:

The branch of the Tyumen Regional Museum of Fine Arts was opened on the basis of the exhibition hall in Nadym in 1988. In 2001 it was converted into the municipal cultural institution "Museum of History and Archaeology ofNadym". There are 2 showroomsand 2 permanent exhibitions at the Museum. The permanent ethnographic exhibition "The Edge of girl Savane" was opened in 2007. Visitors go on at exciting journey with a doll-guide. It is a nenets-girl, which lives in a camp in the Tundra. She tells her guests about people`s life in the Tundra, recalls legends and songs of the North. Theexhibition includes a traditional nationalclothing, transport, cult objects and other.

The permanentexhibition"The village of Nadym" introduces visitors to archaeological site of X-XIX centuries. The exhibition includeshousehold and cult things of the medieval town residents.

The permanent exhibition of the history of Nadym building was opened in 2002. It is located in the building of public corporation "Severgasstroi". The atmosphere of komsomol construction of 1970-80 years is re-create here
