Gallery Elysium was founded in 1997. The main specialization of the gallery is the Russian art of the first half of the XX century, including works by artists of the Russian emigration.
Gallery holds large-scale exhibition non-commercial projects. For all operating time the gallery has shown 20 thematic exhibitions organized in collaboration with leading Russian museums, including the Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum and other major museums in Russia. Joint projects: "Semija Benua" (Benoit Family), "Graphika masterov "Bubnovogo valeta"" (Graphics of masters of "Bubnovogo valeta" (Jack of Diamonds), "Pamyatniki russkogo teatralnogo avangarda" (Memorials of Russian theatrical avant-garde), "Grafika Obshchestva stankovistov" (Graphics of the Society of Easel Painters) and other projects associated with the intelligent image of the gallery.
One of the priorities of the gallery is the scientific activity. Each exhibition is accompanied by the publication of a scientific catalog, which contains the results of research conducted by the gallery staff, articles of specialists, artists' biographies
