The Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology is scientific, elucidative, non-profit organization at the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of peoples of the Far East in the system of Russian Academy of Sciences. An exposition of the Museum consists of two parts: archaeology and ethnography of the southern part of Russian Far East. The Museum has unique collections, authentic relics of scientific, historical and cultural value. There are such real rare things as silver paiza - certificate of Jurchen state, collection of netsuke, bronze mirrors, Buddhist images, arms of VIII-XIII cc. A.D. All these collections were obtained during 40 years of archaeological and ethnographic field researches of the Institute. The Museum is an integral part of the scientific-research Institute, scholars of which make researches according to state approved programs, organize archaeological and ethnographical expeditions. Authors of collections reserve exceptional life-long copyright for using of their materials for scientific research and publication
