Description:

The Museum of the Moscow Art Theater was created in 1923. It is one of the great Russian cultural center and historical theater archives. The museum collection consists of unique historical documents, theater costumes and models, paintings, graphics and sculpture.

Visitors can see ill the exposition and exhibitions of the Museum historical documents, related to A.Chekhov, M.Gorky, K.Stanislavsky, V.Nemirovich-Danchenko, O.Krripper-Chekhova,F.Sl1aljapin, M.Bu1gakov, B.Pasternak, V.Meyerhold, M.Chek1lov, sketches of sets by N.Roerich" B.Kustodiev, A.Benois, M.Dobujinsky, A,Golovin. Theater critics and scientists of theater history can study the museum archives.
