The Museum is devoted to the history of the military way of the 3d (82nd) guard Motorized division, which took attacks on Khalhin-Gol in 1939, defended Moscow in 1941-1942, freed Mozhaysk and Borodino Field from the enemies. On the base of this division the 6th Mechanized Corps which took part in Kursk Battle, in freeing the Ukraine, Poland, participated in the storm of Berlin and freeing Prague. The Corps was formed into a tank division that was dislocated in the GDR. In 1994 it participated in war actions in Chechen. The Museum is the winner of the competitions for the best school museums of Military Glory in Moscow in1985, 1990, 1995, 2000-2012.
In 2005 the Museum became a prize-winner of the All-Russian competition, devoted to the 60th anniversary of the Great Victory. It has gained a huge number of diplomas and awards such as the diploma of the Regional 11th festival “Young Talents of the Moscow Region” (2010), the museum has the certificate for taking the 1st place in the contest for the best organization of pedagogical work in state educational institutions in Moscow, the prize-winners’ diploma in the quiz “By the roads of 1812”.
A great research work is being done in the Museum. Lately some works have been awarded with Moscow diplomas and five works were awarded with Bronze medals of the Journalists Union.
The pride of the museum is two dioramas made by the pupils, their parents and teachers of the school. For the jubilee of Moscow school ¹237 (SVAO) the exact model school of 1930s was reconstructed. It reflects the epoch of the 30s years of the 20th century. The museum is equipped with the multimedia system. It keeps a great deal of video archives of the War period and up-to-date time
